Hi there and welcome!
If you’re reading this, you’re most likely on my list. The GOOD list. This is my first blog post. The delay has been part procrastination, part fear of commitment, and part wondering why I want to do it. And I’ll admit, there’s the lack of time and energy as well as the nagging thought that no one will read it. Or that someone will read it. But basically, it comes to this. I’m an unsung, stubborn, and occasionally deranged fiction writer looking to build my reader base. And someone, no actually about a hundred people, suggested that I blog and maybe if people like what they read, they’ll check out my fiction. Another plus is that I get to share my thoughts on random topics and hopefully entertain you along the way. One of my favorite things in the world is to laugh with friends.
Don’t worry, this isn’t going to be about my fiction. At least not most of the time. My plan is to write a letter to a person, place, or thing every one to two weeks to share my thoughts or observations about something that’s tickled my fancy. And by fancy, I mean interest. This could go anywhere from a letter to the indecisively suicidal squirrel crossing the road (or is he crossing the road?), to the substitute dental hygienist whose life story made me wish for a root canal.
And at the end of the post I might tell you about a book, film, TV series I enjoyed, or post a photo. So put your tray tables in the upright position, buckle up, and get ready for takeoff.
